Region 2 has fifteen (15) Minority Leadership Incentive Grants available to help cover the costs of attending the 2011 Leadership Conference.  The conference will be held September 30 - October 2, 2011 at the Grand Sierra Resort, Reno, Nevada.  Each grant pays the conference registration fee of $225 (Early Bird) or $250 and covers meals that are included as part of the conference package.  The recipient’s chapter is responsible for hotel costs, travel expenses, and meals not included with the conference.

 

These incentive grants are being offered to increase the number of minority members who are involved in CTA leadership activities.  Grant recipients must be from one of the designated minority groups, and must be a first time conference delegate.  Only one recipient per chapter is permitted.

 

Please use the Nomination form to submit your chapter’s nominee.  The form must be returned to the CTA Natomas office, Attn: Karen Boll no later than Friday, September 2, 2011.  In order to be considered, all portions of the application must be completed.  The application must come from your chapter and be signed by the your local president.

 

The Region 2 CTA Board Members and the minority member at-large will review all applications and make recommendations to the CTA President at the September Board meeting.  Both the grant recipient and chapter president will be advised if selected.
